I’m the Fat Friend

It is definitely awkward being the “Fat friend”. Now don’t get me wrong, I have no animosity to my girlfriends for being skinny. They are beautiful girls and I love them to death. Recently, we had a fabulous girls weekend out. When I say fabulous, that is an understatement. It was one of my favorite weekends! Now the har part of that weekend for me was when we went shopping. We were going into all of the stylish stores that don’t carry sizes larger than 14. It was hard to be that girl that just goes in and just acts like she doesn’t want anything, or is just looking at socks and hats. Socks for christ’s sake!
Oh, can you guess which is me?
Funny thing is that you look the most stylish of the four in that pic!
The two on your left, no offense, look kinda frumpy in that pic!

But I do hear you. I know exactly how it feels to go into a shop and have to amuse yourself for ages while everyone around you is happily trying on clothes and worse, buying the stuff!!!
At least you can do something about it
Maybe one day you can come visit and we can both go shopping at a “normal” store!!! yay!!!
I used to have two friends who were seriously only friendly with me because I made them look good. I was in complete denial at the time and I really thought that they were my best friends. It is quit funny now though but at the time it hurt a whole lot!
But i’m sure I look MUCH better then they do now

I h ave a great saying - feel free to use it when required “I might be fat - but other people are ugly - and I can diet when I choose to”!!
You’re not that fat - I think you look great, look at your legs, i’d kill for legs like that!
Anyway, soon you’ll be one of those skinny girls and you’ll have earnt it, which is much better than just being skinny your whole life (YES IT IS!!!!). Ha ha.

Oh MAN, I feel the frustration/left-out-of-the-loop-ness with regard to the shopping!
I was shopping with my friends in Hong Kong, which stocks only sizes 2-10 (and thats UK sizes, not US) and being about a size 18 UK, I felt like a hippo. And the trouble with Asian countries is they make you FEEL like a hippo. If I even showed some interest in a sock or a hat, the salespeople will come up to you and snatch it off you saying “NO! THIS NOT FOR YOU! THIS NOT FIT!”
And btw, I want your legs too.

Socks can be sexy LOL. And it is great that you have a cool circle of friends that love you no matter what size you are. You are doing the right thing by your health now and next year when you have another picture done, it may be just a touch harder to pick you out of the crowd. Oh - except that you would still be as beautiful

I think u look sexy. u shoudl be happy with ur self..it a shame when we live in a society where the media tells us what beauty is. if u look at the renissance times in greek androamn culture a thick women was cosnidered the envy of beauty.. whats wors is when family say things taht hurt….if u want to loose weight then go ahead but do it for ur sake not anyone else.
