Running at the park
June 4th, 2006When you are doing something as painful and dreadful as running, it helps if you are somewhere pretty like the beach or the park. I am not someone who can get on the treadmill and go for 30 minutes. But, if I’m outside I have no problems. It’s interesting that people are so different in that respect. I suppose we all have our “ideal” exercise conditions.
I’m okay on the treadmill as long as I have my tiny little iPod to keep me company! Have a great week.

I’m awful on the treadmill, even with music. I’d be all right if it was in a location that faced the TV, so I could go on it while I watched my favourite shows, but right now its facing a window that overlooks my driveway. How… exciting.
So I agree with you, its always good to do something painful as running in a place thats pretty. I go for a walk in the park every week with my friend (parks can be dodgy/haven for criminals, which is a shame); and we always seem to have clocked up an hours worth before we know it. Meanwhile at home, 5 minutes on the treadmill feels like an hour!

I am the same as Bri - I can only exercise with the music - or else I become bored way to fast!!

I love music to briony. I NEED it. it helps to motivate me especially if it has a good beat.
